Novak Djokovic retired after suffering an accident in the third round of the Rome Open yesterday. The Serbian top seed exited after losing 6-2, 6-3 to Chile’s 32nd seed Alessandro Tabillo. It took Tabilo just 67 minutes to beat Djokovic, who struggled throughout the match.
Djokovic blamed a bottle blow to the head two days earlier as the reason for the disappointing loss . He said that he felt like a different player on the field. The legend who won a record 24 Grand Slams also expressed concern over the issue.
